Love pace: Romantic or Grounded?

The classic four letters say a lot about how you think, but little about how you date. So Sixty4 adds a sixth axis built for dating: Love pace. It looks at how fast you fall for someone and how quickly you like a relationship to grow, from instant chemistry and big gestures to trust that builds week by week.

Romantic R

Falls fast, loves big gestures.

With a Romantic love pace, they feel chemistry quickly, enjoy big gestures and like to say how they feel early on.

  • Expressive and generous with affection
  • May move faster than a cautious partner is ready for

They appreciate a date with a bit of occasion: a reservation, a view, a small surprise.

Grounded G

Slow burn, trust built over time.

With a Grounded love pace, they let trust build slowly, prefer consistency over fireworks and mean it when they finally say it.

  • Builds trust carefully and loves for the long run
  • Can seem lukewarm early on to a fast-moving partner

Low-pressure, repeatable dates suit them: the same cafe, a regular walk, a standing weekly plan.

How the test measures it

Love pace comes from 6 statements that you rate from “Strongly disagree” to “Strongly agree”. Agreeing with a statement marked R moves you toward Romantic; agreeing with one marked G moves you toward Grounded. The quick test includes 2 of them (it opens with one), the full test all 6.

Already know your four letters? You can enter them instead of taking the test, but Love pace can’t be picked from a list: Sixty4 always asks these 6 questions, because it isn’t part of the four letters.

Why Love pace weighs so much in matching

Love pace carries 22% of every Sixty4 score, second only to Mind. It follows a similarity rule: the closer your paces, the better. On this site’s type pages, where each letter is a typical 75% lean, switching one person from Romantic to Grounded moves a pair’s score by 9–10 points. Across all 4,096 pairings of the 64 types, same-pace pairs average 82% and mixed-pace pairs 72%.

FAQ

What is love pace in Sixty4?

Love pace is the sixth axis of a Sixty4 type and the one built for dating. Romantic people tend to feel chemistry quickly and say so early; Grounded people let trust build slowly and value consistency. It is the last letter of the code, as in INFJ-T-R or INFJ-T-G.

Can a Romantic and a Grounded person be a good match?

Yes. Love pace is one of six axes, so a mixed-pace pair can still score well when the rest fits: on this site, mixed-pace pairs reach up to 86%. The difference costs points, but on its own it doesn’t rule a match out.

Can my love pace change?

Your result reflects how you answered when you took the test, and you can take it again whenever you like. How you want to date can shift with your circumstances, so retaking it later is fine.
